The 2009 Cadillac Escalade Hybrid is out of the box. And aint it a beauty!
It combines luxury & performance with a 2-Mode Hybrid system which provides 20 MPG (miles to the gallon) city & 21 MPG on the highway. The 2-Mode Hybrid system seamlessly transitions btw the electric motors & the combustion engine as speed & power demands vary. Allowing for 50% improvement in fuel economy in the city.
For the Escalade die-hards, the 2009 hybrid comes in a 322 hp V8 engine that generates 367 lb-ft of torque at 4100 rpm. Not what you'd expect from a hybrid! But hey, we are talking about a Cadillac.
